Simply put – the larger the original size of the artwork, the more time and labour it takes to reproduce the work. The smaller the original work is, the less time and detail is needed to reproduce it. The reproduction of an artwork is a very hands on process that involves lots of movement and camera and light positioning, to ensure the entire artwork is fully and most accurately captured. The larger the image is, the more attention to finer details is required to render the most accurate version possible.
